Willowra Attains ABA Funding
Indigenous Business Incubator client the Central Land Council (CLC) has successfully attained $2,602,374 through the Aboriginals Benefit Account (ABA) to contruct an early childhood and learning community centre in the Northern Territory community of Willowra.
The Minister for Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs Jenny Macklin announced on the 19th November that $2,602,374 had been granted for construction of an early childhood centre and accommodation for staff and visitors at Willowra.
CLC Director David Ross said that these funds supplemented the investments already put in by the communities.
“The Willowra Early Childhood and Learning Centre is a critical project that has very strong community support," he said.

The presentation of the award received the loudest applause of the evening and is a great credit to the hard work of Too Deadly Managing Director Gary McInerney, and also a great credit to his business mentor, the Darebin Enterprise Centre.
The award was accepted on Too Deadly's behalf by George Jakowenko (DECL) and Graham Dobb (NMIT). Too Deadly Cleaning continues to grow and has recently become engaged in new cleaning contracts. The business places a strong emphasis on training and employing persons who were previously unemployed. The Victorian Government Department of Human Services' (DHS) Public Tenant Employment Program (PTEP) provided the majority of work for Too Deadly Cleaning during the startup phase of the enterprise. Too Deadly Cleaning has developed a strong relationship with the program and its administrators by providing a reliable and quality cleaning service. Too Deadly Cleaning also provides cleaning services for both commercial and residential properties in Melbourne and surrounding suburbs.
